Delete your account and data

Last updated: August 5, 2026

You can request deletion of your Accanto account (app.accanto.mobile) and all associated personal data at any time. There are two ways.

1. In the app (recommended)

  1. Open Accanto and sign in.
  2. Open the menu (top left) and go to Account.
  3. Open the Security section and scroll to "Delete account".
  4. Confirm. Deletion is irreversible.

2. By email

If you can't sign in, email support@accanto.care from your account's email address, stating that you want to delete your account. We will verify your identity and proceed with deletion.

Partial deletion (without closing your account)

You don't have to delete your whole account: you can remove individual data directly in the app, at any time, without losing access.

  • Individual timeline entries ("Delete" on each entry).
  • Individual uploaded documents.
  • Individual doctor questions.
  • Entire care circles you own (archive or delete).

What data is deleted

Deleting your account removes all associated personal data:

  • Account data (email, display name, password hash, optional 2FA).
  • Content you created: timeline entries, uploaded documents, doctor questions.
  • Care circles you solely own, and their content.
  • Device push tokens and active sessions.
  • Technical and audit logs tied to your account.

If you are a member (not the owner) of a circle shared with others, content created by other members stays with the circle; your personal data and contributions attributable to you are removed as described in the privacy notice.

Deletion timelines

  • Active systems: data is deleted within 30 days of the request.
  • Cyclic encrypted backups: removed within a further 60 days through natural backup rotation.
  • Data retained by legal obligation (e.g. tax records, where applicable) is kept only for the minimum period required by law and not used for any other purpose.

For details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy noticeor email support@accanto.care. We respond within 30 days as required by the GDPR.
